Food price increases are likely to prompt British shoppers to buy supermarket "own label" brands, according to
Marketing Week. It quotes research that nearly a half of shoppers say they will
start buying own-label products if their shopping bill rises 3% or more. Over the past three months, nearly two in three Tesco shoppers have revealed they bought its own-label food.
