Kelley Blue Book, Autotrader Kick Off Promos

Kelley Blue Book is offering instant cash for car shoppers who are ready to trade or sell their current vehicle, while Autotrader is kicking off an Earth Day-themed promotion.

The Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer Web page allows users to enter their vehicle's specific features and condition, and using their desktop or mobile device, car owners can receive an offer. The offer is redeemable at participating dealerships across the country, and consumers can use it toward the purchase of a new car, or simply walk away with a check.

The "biggest pain point" for owners is understanding how to sell their car and how much to expect for it, said Mike Sadowski, vice president of operations and general manager for Kelley Blue Book, a Cox Automotive company.

The Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer gives consumers the confidence of an offer for their vehicle before they leave home, he said.

Meanwhile, Autotrader, another Cox Automotive company, is kicking off an Earth Day-themed promotion. Autotrader’s Earth Drive program promotes its partnership with the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks. From now until Earth Day, April 22, Autotrader will donate $1.00 to the National Park Foundation -- up to $50,000 -- for every eco-friendly car (31+ MPG or hybrid/electric vehicles) “saved” on the car shopping site.

“We know Earth Day is a time when people examine the choices they make in their day-to-day lives and consider how they can better conserve and preserve, and for car shoppers this means adding environmentally friendly vehicles to their consideration sets,” said Jessica Stafford, vice president of marketing, Cox Automotive Media, in a release.
