Advisory On France: Email Consent Must Be Yearly

A recent decree in France specifies that companies must get annual consent from subscribers to send email content. The following elements are protected by confidentiality: “The content, the identity of the correspondents and, if applicable, the header of the message and the attached documents,” according to the firm Squire Patton Boggs.
