'Forbes' Launches Italian-Language Edition

Forbes will launch an Italian-language edition, Forbes Italy, this summer, in partnership with Italy-based digital media company Blue Financial Communications SpA. So will the Forbes Italy site, forbesitalia.com.

The Forbes Italy magazine will have a monthly circulation of 100,000 and will be distributed in Italian-speaking markets, including Italy, Monaco and Switzerland, starting this fall.

The magazine launch will be followed by the introduction of Forbes Italy events in collaboration with ForbesLive, Forbes Media’s conference and events business.

Forbes Italy will be made up of 70% Italian and European business news, commentary and features, and 30% editorial content from Forbes magazines from around the world.

“We will tell the stories of some of the most influential people and young entrepreneurs in the world, and we will cover the ideas and technologies that will shape our future,” stated Denis Masetti, president and major shareholder of Blue Financial Communication, which is listed on the AIM stock exchange of Milan and has offices in Milan and London.

Mike Federle, president and COO of Forbes Media, added Forbes Italy “represents an important step for Forbes’ continued expansion in Western Europe.”

This is the 39th licensed international edition of Forbes. In the past year, the publication has launched in Finland and France.

The Forbes brand reaches more than 94 million people worldwide.
