Gambelli To Head Fox News Channel Ad Sales


Veteran media buying and selling executive Marianne Gambelli will be taking over as president of advertising sales at Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

Previously, Gambelli spent five years as chief investment officer of media agency Horizon Media, where she managed a portfolio $7 billion, responsible for over 350 general market investment specialists and involved in business development.

Before that, she was at NBCUniversal for 22 years, becoming president of sales and marketing. She oversaw partnerships and strategy across NBC’s news, sports and entertainment programming and brands.

She also held senior media-buying executive positions at Grey Advertising and Backer Spielvogel Bates.

Gambelli takes over for Paul Rittenberg, who had been at Fox News since its inception in 1996. He was EVP of advertising sales Fox News and Fox Business. Rittenberg announced he was leaving the company in late February of this year.

From May 2016 to May 2017, Fox News Channel pulled in $1.21 billion in national advertising sales, and Fox Business Network, $41.4 million, per iSpot.tv.
