Kaltura Partners With Streamlyzer On Real-time Intelligence For TV Platform

Video technology firm Kaltura said it partnered with analytics provider Streamlyzer to integrate real-time intelligence into its over-the-top TV (OTT) solutions.

Kaltura will use the integration to enable telco and media company clients to optimize video delivery and make data-driven business decisions for their digital video services.

Kaltura’s OTT platform helps customers launch pay TV services with social interaction and personalization tools. Kaltura said its OTT platform also provides a cross-device experience for live, video-on-demand, and catch-up (a time-shifted TV capability that allows users to go back within a defined period of time and pick a desired show that aired in the past) content types.

“Kaltura believes that the future of TV is focused on using data in service of the consumer,” stated Shay David, co-founder of Kaltura. Advanced analytics is one of a series of data-driven services Kaltura offers that’s built into its TV platform based on first- and third-party technology.

Kaltura said KCP, a content platform in Korea, recently implemented the integrated solution. It’s also in discussions with other companies seeking to create personal and social pay TV experiences across devices with live, VOD, catch-up, and cloud DVR capabilities.
