Google is fighting at least six federal cases over demands by the U.S. government that hand over data stored overseas. Google stores data in fragments in servers around the globe, so this fight “fragments in servers around the globe, it's a fight that matters for every email user on the planet, not just non-American Gmail customers,” Forbes writes.
