WPP’s Data Alliance, a unit that focuses on deal-making in the data sector, has named Anas Ghazi its new CEO.
Ghazi joined the operation in 2013 and most recently served as Managing Director of Global Partnerships. Earlier, he worked in the financial services industry.
Gahzi succeeds Nick Nyhan who will remain on the Data Alliance Board, representing Kantar. (Other Data Alliance board members represent GroupM, Wunderman, WPP Digital, Ogilvy and WPP Health & Wellness.)
Also Nyhan will take on the new role of Chairman of Kantar’s Lightspeed Research and remains Chief Digital Officer at Kantar.
New CEO Ghazi said that the Data Alliance unit “will continue to focus on a few key ways to make it easier to get and use data in WPP for media, insights, CRM, creative and PR, while strategically extending some of our data assets out into the broader ecosystem.”
