REVOLVING DOOR: Chris Garbutt Promoted To Global CCO Of TBWA Worldwide

TBWA Worldwide promoted Chris Garbutt to global chief creative officer. In his new role, Garbutt will spearhead creative direction and development for the the agency's roster of global clients, which includes adidas, Accenture, Apple, McDonald's, Michelin and Nissan. He previously as global creative president.

With Garbutt's promotion, John Hunt becomes creative chairman of TBWA Worldwide, based in South Africa.

Garbutt returned to TBWA in 2015 from Ogilvy & Mather East in New York, where he served as chief creative officer. Before that, he was chief creative officer of the network's Paris office. A native of Cape Town, South Africa, Garbutt began his career in Johannesburg as a creative director at TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris, where he spent four years working under Hunt.

Not only are they deserving of this recognition for the work they continue to deliver time and again, but also for the manner in which they have carried themselves throughout their careers. Good people do good," said Lee Clow, chairman of TBWA\Media Arts Lab and global director of Media Arts.
