Amazon Web Services (AWS) named SparkPost as an Advanced Technology Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN) on Tuesday.
APN is the global partner network for Amazon Web Services, Amazon’s on-demand cloud computing platform. Curated by Amazon, APN highlights companies that have successfully built businesses on AWS. It also provides a suite of technical, sales and marketing resources to help partners grow their businesses and connect with new customers on AWS.
Amazon highlights two types of partners in the AWS Partner Network: consulting partners and
technology partners. APN Consulting Partners are professional services firms, such as agencies, that help customers build applications on Amazon Web Services. APN Technology Partners are software
solutions hosted on, or integrated with, the AWS platform.
SparkPost, a cloud-based email delivery service, falls in the latter category in the AWS Partner Network. The company has been
leveraging Amazon Web Services since its initial beta launch in January 2014, when the company handled a few million messages per month. Now the company powers the email deliverability of billions of
messages a month for more than 20,000 active customers, including Pinterest, Zillow, and CareerBuilder.
