Wunderman Adds To Its Consultative Offering With Cocktail Acquisition

In a bid to bulk up its consultancy credentials for its Latin American and European clients, WPP digital shop Wunderman has acquired The Cocktail, which advises companies on their digital transformation efforts. Terms weren’t disclosed. 

The consultancy is based in Spain with offices in Mexico and Colombia. Clients include professional soccer club Real Madrid, department store group El Corte Ingles and financial services giant BBVA. 

Alberto Knapp, Founder & President, and his management team, will continue to lead The Cocktail, which will operate under its own brand within Wunderman. The firm was founded in 2003 and employs more than 250 people. 

It’s the latest move by Wunderman to fortify its consultancy offering. Last fall sibling firm, Acceleration, part of WPP since 2012 was folded into the Wunderman operation, but like The Cocktail continues to operate under its own brand.
