Bloomberg Taps Another Ad Pro For Its Growing Marketing Services Business

Former Havas Global CEO Andrew Bennet has been tapped by Bloomberg Media for the newly created role of Global Chief Commercial Officer. 

Benett is tasked with running Bloomberg Media's sales, advertising operations, integrated franchises, consulting and marketing services, as well as efforts to institutionalize innovation across the commercial organization. 

Based out of Bloomberg LP’s New York City headquarters, Benett’s appointment is effective immediately. He will report to Bloomberg Media CEO Justin B. Smith. 

Bennet is just the latest former advertising pro to be tapped by the media and financial information firm as it expands its marketing and advertising services to clients.

In addition to selling ad space and time on its array of digital, print and TV outlets, the firm is also building a new consulting operation to advise clients on brand and marketing issues. Bennet will take the lead on developing that new practice.

Last year, Bloomberg hired former Ogilvy executive Teddy Lynn as its Global Chief Creative Officer and former Dentsu Aegis and Publicis Media executive Steven Feuling to head up a B2B marketing group. 

Three years ago, former UM North America CEO Jacki Kelley was appointed to the post of COO at Bloomberg Media.
