The ASA is considering banning the use of the world "fibre broadband" in advertising when the whole of a customer's connection is not over fibre,
The Times reports. Most consumer broadband is
over a fibre optic cable until it reaches a cabinet, so called Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC), from which it is then distributed to house over traditional wiring.
