Accenture Acquires 'User Experience' Shop Clearhead

Accenture Interactive is acquiring digital agency Clearhead, making it the 14th acquisition since 2013 to further Accenture Interactive's end-to-end customer experience services.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 70-person Clearhead touts a proprietary data-driven methodology to optimize key digital marketing, merchandising, sales and service experiences.

For instance, the agency recently increased account registration for a global retailer by 20%, after testing simpler ways for users to create an online store account. Clearhead’s skills in user experience solutions include Adobe Target, Oracle MaxymiserTM and Monetate.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the agency will continue to operate as Clearhead, with offices in Cincinnati and London, UK.

At this point, no changes are planned as to how and where the Clearhead employees work, says Accenture.

This deal underscores Accenture Interactive's acquisition strategy, which focuses on specialized digital customer services. In May, the company acquired ecommerce solution provider Media Hive (US) to strengthen its capabilities around Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementation.

Other acquisitions in Accenture’s current fiscal year include creative agencies The Monkeys/Maud (Australia) and Karmarama (UK), communications agency Kunstmaan(Belgium) and digital agency SinnerSchrader (Germany).

“Brands are beginning to realize that experimentation is the new normal and has to be core to their culture, capabilities and operations in order to offer engaging digital experiences,” stated Jeriad Zoghby, global personalization lead, Accenture Interactive.
