Burger King's Machado, GE's Comstock Among Ad Club Of NY Honorees

The Advertising Club of New York is recognizing Fernando Machado, head of brand marketing, Burger King, as Marketer of the Year as part of its 2017 Advertising People of the Year awards.

The annual awards celebrate industry luminaries across five categories who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and social responsibility. 

Beth Comstock, Vice Chair, GE has been named Industry Legend; Rachel Tipograph, Founder and CEO, MikMak is being honored as Startup Founder of the Year; Sara Sindelar, Next Gen Intrapreneur, IBM is named Young Pro and 92nd Street Y represented by Henry Timms, executive director, is recognized as New Yorker of the Year.

The nominees will be celebrated July 18 at an awards gala in New York City.

 The event is sponsored by iHeartMedia and Nucleus Marketing Solutions and will be hosted by Z100’s Danielle Monaro and Bethany Watson from Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.
