EasilyDo Rebrands, Launches Revamped Mail App

Productivity and email management app provider EasilyDo announced a rebrand on Wednesday in tandem with the release of an updated email application with more intelligent features.

EasilyDo will now be known as Edison Software, a name the company says is more in line with its commitment to creating mobile applications powered by artificial intelligence.

Edison Software also unveiled two new features to its email application in conjunction with the rebranding. Edison Mail (formerly known as Email by EasilyDo) has been upgraded with Smart Reply on iOS and Security Assistant on both iOS and Android.

Edison Mail’s Security Assistant serves as an easy alert system allowing users to discover when one of their email accounts has been compromised in a data breach with another provider. A Security Assistant folder within the email application enables users to quickly view information on when any of their email accounts are threatened.

Edison Mail’s Smart Reply feature provides users with three possible responses to every email received, in a similar fashion to Google’s Smart Reply feature on Inbox and Gmail. Since the feature is built on deep-learning technology, it requires permission to look at and recognize incoming mail to trigger the next step. Unlike Google’s email application, Edison Mail’s Smart Reply feature runs 100% on a user’s mobile device.

Edison Software says that running the feature entirely on a smartphone helps protect user privacy because Edison’s server never touches an email to suggest a response. Edison has consulted with respected privacy experts to ensure that the company’s data practices protects the privacy of its users. The feature is also optional, so users can turn off Smart Reply if they’d like to.

Finally, Edison Software also unveiled Edison Trends on Wednesday. Edison Trends is an online dashboard presenting national ecommerce trends via data visualization. Edison Trends is powered by aggregating anonymous purchase-related information from mail. Users can control their sharing preferences within Edison apps.
