Multiple Agencies Enlisted To Rebrand CA Community College Program

Ogilvy and MeringCarson are joining YI Advisors, T&T Public Relations, Capitol Public Affairs and Kish Rajan Public Affairs to rebrand Career Education in California on behalf of the California Community Colleges.

This $6 million project promotes the benefits of Career Education as an affordable, accessible pathway to a rewarding career.

The www.californiacareereducation.com hub serves as an informational portal where visitors can find out more about careers, receive financial aid information, and locate the nearest campus. Other campaign components include paid traditional, social and online advertising, multicultural outreach and events, social media, employer engagement and online videos.

Prior to winning this account, both MeringCarson and Ogilvy PR had established a relationship having collaborated on various initiatives. Both independently worked on the Career Education program, in some capacity, on behalf of California Community Colleges.

The account will be based in Ogilvy’s Sacramento office with support from Ogilvy offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

California operates the largest system of higher education in the U.S. The program offers 200 career opportunities across the system’s 114 campuses. Programs include: 3D animation, advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, culinary arts, digital media, and web programming.
