Break A Leg: Industry Vets Launch New Broadway-Centric Ad Agency

Industry veterans Ilene Rosen, Nick Pramik and Pete Milano are departing ad agency SpotCo to launch RPM, a new advertising and marketing agency dedicated to Broadway and live entertainment.

The NYC-based agency will offer an array of services that includes media strategy and planning, creative development and execution, marketing research and data analysis, sales and ticketing strategy, social media marketing, and sponsorships and promotions.

Inaugural clients include Broadway blockbuster "Hamilton," the Broadway and touring production of "Waitress," the revival of the musical "Chicago," as well as the American Ballet Theatre and Second Stage Theater.

“We are thrilled to offer a new option for Broadway producers and institutions in need of advertising and marketing services for their shows and organizations,” stated managing partners Milano, Pramik and Rosen. “The specific mission of RPM is to create a more streamlined way of servicing clients."

The shop says its business model is commission-free.

The company launches with a staff of 20, including former SpotCo team members Steven Tartick as executive creative director and Kara Carothers as vice president of planning and operations. Data scientist Cher Nobles jumps from the Madison Square Garden Company to serve as director of analytics.

Rosen has spent a decade working at SpotCo, including the past four years as president. The eight-year SpotCo veteran Pramik is credited with launching its marketing and partnerships division and later served as executive vice president.

Milano, who remains CEO of the live entertainment merchandise company Creative Goods, previously served as director of media for SpotCo.
