Pop-Ups Are Mobile's Most Hated Ad Format

There are no prizes for guessing that research reported on today in eMarketer has found that UK mobile phone users' consider pop ups the most annoying ad format on the small screen. At 28% of respondents, it was just ahead of any ad format that takes over the screen, at 26%. Nearly one in five -- 18% -- reported that they were most fed up with ads that slow down mobile internet pages downloading.
