Online Coalition Publishes Comment to FEC

  • June 3, 2005
The Online Coalition, a group of bloggers and Web journalists opposed to the regulation of political speech on the Internet, yesterday urged the FEC to refrain from stifling free exchange of ideas on the Internet when making rules regarding campaign finance. "The electorate is best served when the Commission crafts rules that remove actual corruption, while encouraging more participation, opinions, and choices to permeate the democratic process," wrote the group in its comments.
