Yahoo! Thursday said it has updated its Instant Messenger software to be fully compatible with Firefox, about three months after the portal announced it intended to eventually do so. Prior to the
recent development, users attempting to customize their avatars had to rely on Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser. In February, Yahoo! launched a toolbar for the open-source browser, and then a
month later promised to eventually make avatars available to Firefox users.
