'Southern Living' Partners With Dillards On Holiday Events

Southern Living is collaborating with department store Dillard's to host a day of Christmas events this December in 263 stores.

Time Inc.’s Southern-focused lifestyle brand will put on interactive holiday workshops on December 2, where readers and shoppers can meet Southern Living editors and Dillard’s associates.

The event will feature demonstrations on holiday decorating, mocktail recipes, tablescape design, giftwrapping and wreath making.

It will also be an opportunity for consumers to peruse Southern Living’s branded collection of bedding, bakeware, home décor and tabletop products, with special Christmas and holiday-themed products from the magazine on sale.

The Southern Living Collection launched in partnership with Dillard’s in 2014.

Southern Living senior stylist Buffy Hargett Miller will share her holiday tips in Hurst, Texas, and Zoe Gowen, editor of home and garden, will lead the celebration in New Orleans.

The magazine's team will also be on site at Dillard's locations in Frisco and San Antonio, Texas; The Woodlands, Texas; Greenville, South Carolina; Baton Rouge; Jacksonville, Florida; Louisville, Kentucky; Oklahoma City and Buford, Georgia.

Southern Living and Dillard’s have a long history of collaboration.

In September, the two companies announced that for the 10th time, they were partnering to sell a custom edition of “Southern Living Christmas Cookbook” to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. The cookbook features 175 recipes and Christmas decoration ideas and is on sale for $10.
