Where Does The Time Go? Movember Is Almost Over!

Boy, time flies. November, and therefore Movember events—raising funds and awareness for men’s health issues—are nearly concluded for the year.

I know a lot of agencies get behind this movement, which supports fundraising and awareness efforts for men’s health issues, like prostate cancer and poor mental health.

So I just wanted to recognize one effort that was brought to my attention by RPA. Yep, the shop had the presence of mind to inform a reporter about what they were doing to support this worthy cause.

On Giving Tuesday (Nov. 28), RPA shot their 4th annual Movember calendar, with this year’s theme being Mustache Album Art. This year’s calendar was shot at the agency’s in-house production studio, Bö’s House of Visual Arts (BHVA), and feature RPA associates posing as Prince, The Beatles, Frank Zappa and more.

And I gotta say the Frank Zappa dude is the spitting image — although his soul patch looks a tad bit more rectangular than the one the real Frank wore.

Last year, with the help of calendar sales, RPA raised $10,000 for men’s health, and won the Movember Agency Challenge for raising the most funds. In previous years, the RPA Movember calendar has been themed Awkward Family PhotosDay Glow Aerobics, and last year’s was Sears Catalog themed.

Here’s a link to this year’s effort. I’m right about the Zappa dude, yes?
