Booker Sends Emails Demanding Trump Resignation: Report

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) has launched an email petition campaign that calls on President Donald Trump to resign over sexual-harassment allegations, according to a story in The Washington Times.

The New Jersey senator, who previously called on Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) to resign over sexual harassment charges, writes:

“The number of women who have brought sexual harassment, misconduct or assault allegations against him has grown to 20 individuals — and I believe them. We all should believe them. We must hold members of both parties to the same standard, and that standard should apply all the way to the top.

“President Trump must be accountable for his actions. Please join me in calling on Mr. Trump to resign as President of the United States.”

The Washington Times notes that President Trump has denied the allegations. It does not report on the size of the email list or who is receiving the petition.
