A month after the Subaru Forester was named a 2018 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick, the automaker is out with new spots celebrating the award.
The :30 commercial, “Life Story On The Line,” launched on Saturday, while a :60 version debuts on Monday. Agency is Carmichael Lynch.
Narrated in the first person, it follows a woman’s life from birth through marriage, children and into a crash with a truck. The point is that, because her family was in a Subaru Forester, they lived to continue their journey.
In December, Subaru of America announced that the 2018 Impreza, Legacy, Outback and WRX models earned the 2018 IIHS Top Safety Pick award when equipped with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology and LED Steering Responsive Headlights.
Just 15 vehicles qualified for the award after new for 2018 requirements were implemented for headlights and frontal crash evaluations. In addition, Forester and Crosstrek received the award when equipped with EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights.
