IPG Mediabrands has named Scott Berwitz senior vice president, corporate communications. In the post Berwitz will lead global internal and external public relations for IPG’s media management group, which includes media agencies Initiative, UM and an array specialist operations. 

Berwitz will report to Tom Cunningham, IPG’s vice president of corporate communications. 
  
Berwitz comes to IPG Mediabrands with nearly twenty years of public relations agency and in-house corporate communications experience. He most recently served as a vice president at DiGennaro Communications, heading up PR activities for numerous ad agencies, ad tech firms and social media platforms. Before that, he was North America corporate communications director for Mindshare, where he handled all public relations duties for the agency’s Canada and US-based offices. Earlier he held a similar role at Horizon Media.
