Rich media companies PointRoll--recently acquired by Gannett--and Eyeblaster said this week that a number of new browsers are now compatible with their video ad-serving technology platforms, including
Mozilla's Firefox browser, which has been steadily growing in popularity in recent months. PointRoll, in addition to offering Firefox compatibility, also extended its platform to work with the Mozilla
browser and a number of more recent Netscape versions, including the newest release, 8.0. Eyeblaster's upgrade adds functionality only with Firefox, along with the ability to target ads to specific
browser users.
