GroupM veteran Rob Norman is joining the global advisory board of zeotap the mobile data platform.
“Verified privacy compliant data is a key ingredient in the execution of marketing strategy,” stated Norman. "The last five years of my long tenure leading digital strategy at GroupM have been dominated by the role of data in identifying opportunity for marketers who seek value through precision."
Norman spent more than three decades at GroupM, most recently as chief digital officer global. Late last year he announced his formal retirement although he continues to serve as an advisor to GroupM and its clients. He has also advised BBC Global News as a Non-Executive Director for the past five years.
Separately zeotap said Anne MacDonald, former marketing executive at The Travelers Companies and Macy's, is also joining its advisory board. In addition to her client side roles, she was an executive vice president, managing director and board member at N.W. Ayer Advertising for 10 years.
Zeotap has forged a number of key industry partnerships. In November 2017, the platform struck an alliance to integrate its offering with The Trade Desk. Earlier it negotiated similar deals with Google DBM, MediaMath, Adform, AppNexus, Teads, Smartclip and other major buying and selling platforms.
Other Zeotap advisory board members include Mark Grether, chief executive officer/investor, Sizmek, and Dirk Freytag, former SVP AOL, among others.
