North Alliance Acquires Sweden's North Kingdom

Oslo, Norway-based marketing and communications group The North Alliance is acquiring Swedish experience agency North Kingdom. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"You kind of hit a growth-plateau and after 15 years of delivering excellent work to global brands across our three offices, we felt it was time to unlock the next level," says Nina Amjadi, managing director, U.S., North Kingdom.

Founded in 2003 by Robert Lindström and current CEO Roger Stighäll, North Kingdom serves as a digital production hub with three offices in Skellefteå, Stockholm and Los Angeles, working across a roster of clients that have included Google, Lego, Disney and adidas.

Under the deal, the agency will keep operating under its own name.

The Swedish North Kingdom offices will now focus on the entire Nordic region and coordinate on specific projects while the hub in LA, where Amjadi will manage U.S. operations, will spearhead the office’s growth efforts on a larger scale.

The North Alliance umbrella will grow to nearly 800 employees through its portfolio, which also includes advertising agencies Anorak, Åkestam Holst, Round & Round and & Co, the technology and design companies Making Waves and Great Works, and agencies Clay and Evidence Strategy.
