The Original Gmail Was Offered By Garfield The Cat

Gizmodo is offering a digital history lesson, saying that that the original gmail — gmail.garfield.com — came online in 1997. It was billed as “e-mail with cattitude.” Google introduced Gmail in 2004. However, Paws Inc.., the cartoon studio owned by Garfield creator Jim Davis, never owned the gmail.com domain.
