During the 2016 U.S. election, Donald Trump’s campaign paid more than Hillary Clinton’s to reach potential voters on Facebook, according to Facebook VP Andrew Bosworth. As CNBC notes:
“A recent
report in Wired, based on a statement from Brad Parscale, director of Trump’s digital operations in 2016, suggested that
Trump got a better deal on Facebook ads than did Clinton” -- but that actually wasn't the case.
