ABC TV Stations Sign With Megaphone TV To Sell Content

Licensing a new interactive polling/contests technology, ABC-owned TV stations will sell new inventory that appears in linear broadcasts, mobile and station websites.

Megaphone TV allows viewers to engage in real-time polling, live trivia contests, hashtag voting in Facebook Live streams, emoji reactions, live Twitter chat and digital surveys on local station websites.

Viewers can join by visiting local ABC station’s website or mobile app using smartphones, tablets, or computers. Those using Megaphone TV can see real-time results of polls and contests live in the broadcast, on users’ devices and in-studio.

The company claims its Participation TV Platform can be used for live news, sports, local broadcasts and national programming. It has been employed on the ABC daytime syndicated talk show “Live With Kelly and Ryan.”

Advertising in Megaphone TV can include direct sponsor integration into programming and the company’s transactional advertising products, including Retail GeoLocator, Click-to-Buy, Click-to-Call, Coupon, MiniGames, App Install, Social Post and Mailing List.

Megaphone TV has TV/streaming deals with AMC, ABC, Bravo, CBS, Cox Media Group, NBC, Raycom Media, Scripps, Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Tegna, TV Azteca, Univision and YouTube.
