Pluto TV, the free over-the-top streaming TV service, has tapped Rich Calacci to serve as the company’s first chief revenue officer.
Calacci, who most recently served as CRO for Bleacher Report, and senior VP of ad sales for Turner Sports, will report to Pluto TV CEO Tom Ryan.
Calacci is being tasked with boosting the company’s national ad sales efforts, and growing its visibility in the marketplace. To that end, the company also announced two new ad sales hires that will serve on Calacci’s team.
Those new hires are Harold Morgenstern, who will be head of national advertising sales, and Matt Katrosar, who will be head of west coast advertising sales. Morgenstern most recently worked in ad sales at Discovery Communications, while Katrosar joins from CBS.
Pluto will add additional regional sales offices in the coming months.
