Doner's Opioid Advocacy Campaign Goes National

After finding success in Ohio, Doner's pro bono campaign to raise awareness about opioid addiction will now spread across the U.S. To date, the estimated value of the pro-bono campaign and donated media is more than $1.5 million.

Doner’s Cleveland and Detroit offices led the partnership and development of the "Know the Risks" campaign, working with Ohio’s MetroHealth and the Cuyahoga County Opioid Marketing Task Force. The goal was to shift perceptions of pill bottles from “safe” to something of potential risk.

Ohio is well-known as the center of the opioid crisis, with more than 800 deaths in just Cuyahoga County.

To help stop this epidemic, last year's campaign included customizable video PSAs, print ads shot by photographer Dave Krovblit and digital advertising materials, all available for free to Cleveland-based healthcare workers, government officials, local community leaders and college campuses.

Now, campaign partners are making the "Know the Risks" creative campaign free to businesses, healthcare providers, schools and communities nationwide by visiting FreeOpioidToolKit.com.

“The opioid crisis isn’t limited to a single region or community, so why should our campaign and awareness efforts focus on just one corner of Ohio?” said Doner President and CEO David DeMuth.
