Sarah Stevens Named VP, Content At 'Kiplinger'

Personal finance and business forecasting publisher Kiplinger announced yesterday the appointment of Sarah Stevens as vice president, content, for the company.

Formerly of the Federal Tax Publishing division of Wolters Kluwer and Bloomberg BNA, Stevens will lead editorial operations across the company, including those tied to Kiplinger’s Personal FinanceKiplinger’s Retirement Report, Kiplinger.com and the Kiplinger Letter.

While at Bloomberg BNA, Stevens expanded and modernized the company’s pension-and-benefits product line, while developing the company’s corporate law, labor and employment law news and reference publications.

In her post at Kiplinger, Stevens will “spearhead special projects and new initiatives aimed at engaging the current Kiplinger audience and bringing new readers into the fold,” according the company.

Kiplinger was founded nine decades ago in 1920 by W.M. Kiplinger. He developed the Kiplinger Letter, launched in 1923 and now one of the most successful and longest-running newsletters in the country. The Washington, D.C., based company’s website is the fastest-growing in the area of personal finance.

Stevens replaces Kevin McCormally, who retired in March of this year.

In addition to her publishing work, Stevens is an adjunct assistant professor of business at the University of Maryland.
