'Good Morning America' Launches New Website, Digital Offerings

ABC’s “Good Morning America” has launched a new website, slate of original content for digital and social platforms and a daily newsletter in an effort to create new ways to connect with viewers online.

The new website features entertainment, wellness, health, food, travel and human interest stories. The site is bright, colorful and geometric.

The original content on the website was “created for the GMA audience and built for sharing, so they can connect with GMA all day,” ABC News president James Goldston wrote in a note to staff.

“Good Morning America” is ABC’s morning TV show, led by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan. It is the most-watched morning show for the sixth consecutive season in America, Goldston added.

The daily newsletter, called “GMA Wake-Up,” will deliver the top stories of the morning and exclusive “Good Morning America” content to viewers’ inboxes.

“Good Morning America” also created its own Facebook Community, "We Are GMA," for viewers to discuss the topics in the news and on the show.

News networks have increasingly expanded their online offerings. Last fall, NBC News launched a number of digital verticals, and CNN created online franchises devoted to travel, technology and politics.
