WERS Radio Unveils First Paid Ad Campaign

Boston's alternative rock station, 88.9 WERS, is unveiling its new tagline, "Uncommon Radio,” developed with a team of creative and media freelancers led by Peter Alemian of PinSeeker Consulting, who served as strategy lead on the project.

The accompanying campaign is the first paid advertising effort for the Emerson College-run music station.

The creative is designed to illuminate the common thread between groupings of artists on billboards, online and outdoor in the Boston market. The messages include “Kings of Leon / Queens of the Stone Age / Prince” and “FUN / XTC / NIRVANA.”

The campaign runs on billboards and on Captivate Media throughout eastern/southeastern Massachusetts along with a digital display effort to drive new online listening on a broad selection of geo-targeted sites including YouTube, USAToday.com, and BostonHerald.com.
