Verve Buys Video Ad Platform Receptiv

The location-based mobile marketing platform Verve has acquired Receptiv, a mobile video ad platform.

Ari Brandt, Receptiv’s co-founder and CEO, will stay on with the combined company as executive vice president of strategic development.

Bringing Receptiv—which has forged relationships with more than 1,500 mobile publishers—into the Verve fold will add to the latter's publisher ecosystem across genres and areas of expertise.

Receptiv’s video ad formats will be added to the Verve Foundry creative studio portfolio, which will enhance the company’s programmatic mobile video capabilities.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though the two companies combined have approximately $125 million in annual revenue.
