Universal Launching Jurassic World VR At Dave & Buster's

Universal is launching an interactive cinematic virtual reality game in advance of its Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie later this month.

The game, Jurassic World VR Expedition, transports players to the jungles of Nublar, where they engage in a rescue adventure inspired by the film series.

The VR experiences debuts on June 14 at more than 100 Dave & Buster’s entertainment centers, reportedly the biggest location-based VR launch to date.

Up to four people at a time can put on an HTC Vive VR headset and enter the Dave & Buster’s VR motion simulator for a five-minute expedition.

"For many, this will be their wondrous introduction to VR, and Jurassic World VR Expedition will transport fans in a more immersive way than they could imagine,” stated Chris Heatherly, executive vice president of games and digital platforms, Universal Brand Development. “Players will experience the dinosaurs—both the majestic and terrifying—first person."

The VR experience was created by The Virtual Reality Company and it will be shown exclusively at Dave & Buster’s Entertainment locations.
