The supply-side video advertising and monetization platform SpotX is planning to launch a series of live sessions to explain and train marketers about the world of connected TV advertising.
The sessions, called “SpotX Explains It All,” will be invitation only, and will launch this week. Topics will include an overview of the CTV ecosystem, audience insights and targeting, CTV capabilities and scalability, measurement best practices and brand safety and verification. The first event will be in New York, with sessions in other cities rolling out over the coming months.
The need for the live classes arose from the rapidly evolving pace of the CTV market. Platforms are looking to fill in gaps in the marketplace, and to provide insight into how that marketplace is changing.
“CTV is continually evolving, and if we want our clients to understand the medium’s value and achieve maximum impact, then we need to do our due diligence to understand CTV’s complexities including the opportunities, limitations, and where it may be headed next,” says Thomas Mercier, associate director, programmatic strategy at OMD USA.
The live sessions are designed to supplement SpotX’s “CTV Masterclass,” which is available online and allows media buyers and planners to earn a certification.
