Email Provider Stensul Raises $7 Million In Series A Funding

Stensul, a firm that specializes in streamlining the email marketing process, has pulled in $7 million in a Series A funding round.

The round was led by Javelin Venture Partners, with participation from Arthur Ventures, First Round Capital, Uncork Capital, Lowercase Capital and Scott McCorkle (former President of ExactTarget and CEO of Salesforce Marketing Cloud).

The money will be used to grow the team and increase service for enterprise customers.

The company has filled two leadership positions. Manny Ataebi, former marketing leader at Ghostery, Logicworks, and ConveyIQ) has been named VP marketing & sales development. And Jesse Brightman, formerly of Percolate and VaynerMedia, has been hired as head of customer success.

Stensul helps non-technical users create "an on-brand email in less than 20 minutes,” states Noah Dinkin, Founder and CEO of stensul.

“Stensul has zeroed in on a massive problem -- space hiding in plain sight,” adds Alex Gurevich, managing director at Javelin Venture Partners. “Email marketing is used by every large company in the world, and the amount of time and money spent on email creation is far more than most people realize.”
