Spectrum Slowdown Affects Email, Phone And TV

Email marketers may be seeing a slight slowdown in response from some parts of the country. Spectrum has experienced outages that include email, phone and interview service and the Spectrum TV App.

According to Down Detector, complaints peaked around 10 p.m. on Tuesday. The Internet drew 52% of the reports, TV 32% and phone 15% 

Judging by the Down Detector map, the outages affected the Northeast, Southern California and parts of the South and Midwest.

The Lincoln, Nebraska Star-Journal writes: “Several customers contacted the Journal Star Tuesday morning to say their landline phones weren't working, while others took to social media to complain.”

News4 San Antonio reports that the Down Detector map shows “most of Texas being effected by this outage and other areas nationwide.”

“support been in touch with support,” writes one complainant on Down Detector. “seems to be an ip address issue...so now i’m on hold with the dreaded spectrum folks...ugh

Spectrum said in a tweet: “We are working to resolve issues with phone and Internet services affecting a large number of our customers. This is the same issue affecting My Account, Spectrum TV, and Email. Support teams will have services restored as soon as possible.”
