Deutsch, Fallon Add Senior Creatives

Deutsch has hired Shannon Washington as senior vice president, creative director to lead its newly-won H&R Block account. She’ll be based in Los Angeles office and report to North America chief creative officer Pete Favat. 

Washington joins Deutsch from Droga5 New York, where she served as a creative director on CoverGirl and Chase. Earlier she worked at INVNT, a division of Time Inc. as a senior creative director where she focused on strategizing live and integrated media experiences for brands like Intel, SC Johnson, POPSUGAR, People, InStyle and Essence Magazines. 

Before INVNT, Washington was a digital creative director at Grey New York, focused on beauty and lifestyle brands. 

Patrick Figueroa and Rick Utzinger were appointed executive creative directors and creative leads for Fallon Minneapolis. The two will support the roster of agency clients and new business efforts.

Figueroa joined Fallon in 2012 as a digital creative director on Cadillac. Previously in New York, he had stints at kbs+ where he led work on Puma and BMW and also at Chiat/Day where he worked on early digital experiences for Sprint. At Fallon, he has continued to push digital initiatives for Talenti, Faribault Woolen Mills and StoK, as well as leading a very successful brand relaunch for International Delight.

Utzinger joined Fallon Minneapolis as creative director two years ago and has led the Silk and Culligan Water work. He was previously creative director at Chiat/Day, Los Angeles, where he worked on Miller Lite and the Grammy Awards, and creative director at David & Goliath on Kia Motors.
