Publicis Media Wins $125 Million Lenovo Global Account

Lenovo is appointing Publicis Media (PM) to handle global media strategy, planning and buying, following a consolidation review.

This was a hotly sought-after $125 million account (according to comVergance) with pitches from various agencies across the globe, both top holding companies and regional/local agencies.

PM was one of the incumbent agenceis going into the review.

PM will service the business through the newly formed Lenovo One Media, a bespoke unit combining Peformics and Spark Foundry which will be responsible for 28 markets across the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions.

The full remit includes media strategy, planning and execution and includes all forms of traditional and digital media as well as global reporting and tools for Lenovo’s B2B and B2C brands, and Motorola.

Lenovo One Media will be overseen by Andre Marciano, who will serve as COO alongside a team of staffers from Spark and Performics, with some PM talent added from markets where PM previously serviced the account.

Lenovo continues to build its brand presence globally, once again being listed among Interbrand's 100 best global brands, through its brand statement "Different is better." Recent campaigns have included Motorola's tech/life balance message, which ponders how users can bring control back to their smartphone relationships.
