Bloomberg is reporting that Google tried to reform its Android operating system last year to avoid a potential fine in the EU case that last week culminated in a record $5bn levy. Google will
not be drawn on the offer it made to the EU. The authorities have said any offer from the tech giant was way too late to halt the proceedings that had been brought against it.
