Joseph G. Gallagher, a senior executive at Digital Remedy and a founding member of 212, New York’s Interactive Advertising Association, died on July 29 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 54.

A Marquette University graduate, Gallagher began his career at Mega Advertising. Later, after relocating from the Washington, DC area to New York, he worked for Tribune Media Net and Dow Jones Inc.

He is survived by his wife Patty and three children: Clare, Kevin and Grace.

On Sunday, Digital Remedy CEO Mike Seiman wrote in an email to staff that “Joe was the consummate gentleman, an amazing host, mentor, entertainer, and truly a mensch.”

The funeral will be held on Saturday at the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven, in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Covenant House New Jersey, in Newark.

Digital Remedy reports that roughly $100K has been raised in Gallagher’s honor since Monday. This will benefit his charities and alma maters.
