Luis Silva Dias Takes The Helm At FCB International

FCB international is promoting chief creative officer Luis Silva Dias to CEO to oversee the network's 62 markets spanning Latin America, Europe and Asia.

The promotion serves as an expansion of Silva Dias’ current responsibilities, as the company is not replacing his CCO position.

Sébastian Desclée, who previously held the role, has been promoted to CEO at FuelContent, the new content production arm of FCB globally.

Silva Dias has risen through the FCB ranks since joining the organization in 2000. After serving as executive creative director of FCB Portugal in 2002, he was made president and CEO of that office in 2005 and CCO for Europe and the Middle East in 2008.

In 2014 he joined FCB International as chief creative officer -- where, in addition to making significant contributions to the network’s creative output, he was the lead architect of FCB’s rebrand in March 2014. He also was recently appointed member of the FCB Global Leadership Team.

“Having one of our top, beloved creatives now leading our international operations is another testament to our focus on putting creativity at the core of all that we do as a network," says Carter Murray, CEO, FCB Worldwide. "Luis has been a strong champion for pushing our work to new heights and I know he will continue to take us even further in this new role.”
