'Today,' Bluprint Team For Online Cooking Classes

“Today” just made life a little easier for busy Americans. The key word is easy.

Bluprint, NBCU’s digital subscription service for lifestyle learning, has partnered with “Today” for “Weeknight Cooking,” an online cooking class with Chef Curtis Stone.

Now through October 12, viewers will get free access — no credit card required. “Weeknight Cooking” is free on Bluprint as part of the company’s Get Started Event. The event offers additional creative classes and recipes free of charge or commitment.

A New York Times bestselling author, Stone has appeared on “Top Chef” and Rachael Ray” and currently serves as head judge on Universal Kids’ “Top Chef Junior.” He is joined by NBC weather anchor Dylan Dreyer. Together, they offer fives lessons to help harried people and their families eat well.

The beauty part: It’s time-framed. And it’s all in the titles, such as “20 Minutes or Less, “5 Ingredients Or Less,” “Breakfast For Dinner” and “Taco Tuesdays.”

To see Stone’s family-friendly culinary magic, check out his Korean tacos.

Indeed, the goal is to get dinner on the table in less than 20 minutes. Stone says he “hopes to inspire viewers of all skill levels.”

Each episode focuses on two recipes -- one where Stone teaches Dreyer how to make a dish and a second recipe of his own creation.

Bluprint is available for a monthly plan at $14.99/month, or an annual plan at $120/year. A seven-day free trial is currently available.

That’s a boon to busy parents. Bluprint offers more than 3,000 hours of classes, such as cooking, painting, sewing and DIY projects for all levels, Q&As with experts and recommendations that motivate viewers to try new things or deepen their level of interest. Bake a cake with Joshua John Russell of the Food Network, make a quilt with Angela Walters, dance with tWitch or start a new hobby.

Patrick Jager, vice president, programming and production, Bluprint, added: “We’re always looking to give our engaged community of users new ways to grow and channel their creativity.”
