Mediafly, the provider of a mobile sales enablement solution, has added to its capabilities by acquiring Alinean, a software and consulting company serving B2B marketers, the firm said on Thursday. The terms were not disclosed.

The purchases will provide Mediafly with interactive sales tools, including TCO/ROI calculators, it says. Alinean’s services will complement Mediafly’s Evolved Selling platform, it adds. 

It is part of a strategy by Mediafly to “invest in companies, like Alinean, that bring additional value through interactive tools,” states Carson Conant, CEO and founder of Mediafly. 

“Buyers are continuously changing how they like to be engaged with sellers,” adds adds Alinean CEO and founder Tom Pisello. “Unfortunately, sellers still blindly pitch their products and services, rather than focus on buyer challenges and business outcomes.”
