Mayweather Jr. Signs Deal For MMA Match In Japan

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has signed a deal with Japanese MMA promotions company Rizin Fighting Federation to meet Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, current RISE Featherweight World Champ, scheduled for New Year’s Eve in the Saitama Super Arena. The match still has a lot of holes to fill, including marketing deals, PPV options and licensing, according to NYSportsJournalism. At a press conference in Japan, a banner behind the fighters included logos from Mayweather Jr.’s The Money Team, Rizin and Cygames, a video game company based in Tokyo.
